The Challenges

The Challenge

Over 60,000 vulnerable children roam the streets in Ghana, lacking basic necessities. The challenges are profound, including high risk of undernutrition among underprivileged children such as orphans
75 per cent of widows in the Upper East region are either poor or extremely poor while 61 per cent of employable widows are unemployed.
In Ghana, the wealthiest consume 6.8 times more than the poorest 10%

Our Mandate

The Restored Glory Foundation is dedicated to restoring the lives of the most vulnerable members of society—orphans, widows, and the underprivileged. Our mandate encompasses:

Family-Based Care

Promoting family-based care for orphans and vulnerable children as an alternative to institutionalized care.

We want to place 60,000 orphans in Christian homes where there is a mom and a dad who would love and cherish them. The goal for this is two-fold: For the families to help these kids become economically self-reliant, and the help them grow into the full stature of Christ.

Basic Needs Provision

We are deeply committed to providing for the most vulnerable members of society, including orphans, poor widows, and the aged. Our efforts in basic needs provision are guided by compassion and a desire to uplift those who are facing daunting adversities daily.
We want to support Christian families who adopt our orphans, provide food clothing and shelter for the aged and empower young widows to provide for themselves and their families

Skill Training Programs

Our Skill Training Programs are designed to provide beneficiaries with practical skills that enhance their livelihoods and enable them to achieve economic self-reliance. By equipping them with valuable skills, we can break the cycle of poverty and create a foundation for a brighter future. We identify marketable skills, providing hands-on training on these skills, providing entrepreneurship training, and offering contineous support to beneficiary widows

Spiritual Development

We believe in empowering individuals with the transformative experience of being born again, enabling them to embark on a journey of purpose and meaning. We encourage beneficiaries to join Bible-believing churches, find a supportive community, and contribute to their growth. Through regular Bible study, prayer, and discipleship, we facilitate a deepening of faith. By actively participating in church life, using talents, and serving in ministries, beneficiaries become vital members of their congregations, positively impacting their families, churches, and communities.

Education

We believe in the transformative power of education. Our mandate extends to providing educational opportunities and funding the education of our beneficiaries thereby equiping them with knowledge, skills, and pathways to a brighter future. We understand that mentorship is needed for our beneficiaries to succesfully navigate the complexities of their eductional journeys and succesfully transitioning to the industry. Our volunteer mentors are therefore ready to help

Health and Well-being

At The Restored Glory Foundation, we recognize that good health is the foundation for a fulfilling life. Our commitment extends to prioritizing the health and well-being of our beneficiaries through comprehensive healthcare support, advocacy for healthy lifestyles, and raising awareness about crucial health issues.

By championing health and well-being, we aim to create a foundation for beneficiaries to thrive, contribute positively to society, and lead fulfilling lives. We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to enjoy optimal health and well-being.

Economic Impact

Impact on Economy

Our skill training aligns with Ghana's national goal of self-reliance:

The successful implementation of our programs would create jobs, increase economic activity, and improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable people in Ghana. We would also help to reduce poverty and inequality in the country
